When people ask if I wear highlights in my hair, I always tell them, "Don't be silly":

I was lucky enough to go on a behind-the-scenes tour of a local candy factory.
Here's where I almost fell into a giant swirling vat of orange candy goo:

Dad found a portrait studio that featured a giant outdoor slide:

Later that week we went to a science museum that let me dig up a dinosaur:

The science museum also had a fancy water play station that held me captive:

I recently ran afoul of the law and had to spend a short spell in the clink:

For some strange reason, the playground suddenly becomes sinister once night falls:

Commuting is such a complicated matter in the Washington metro area,
that even kids are having to face this issue on the playground:

I met someone the other day who looked quite a bit like me:

Sometimes I can also be rather literal - such as when Dad
advised me to take time out to stop and smell the flowers:

Who doesn't love to nod off to a good book?

Look closely and you will find me amidst all the crazy converging lines:

It's a bird!  It's a plane!  No, wait - I think it's a book:

Autumn is a bittersweet time of the year:

We decided to honor autumn by visiting Dinosaur Land
for the first time ever with a group of friends:

I got to meet a few dinosaurs, in fact:

It was hard to say goodbye to my new friends:

This reflective surface produces a curious sort of Halloween effect:

Things really got spooky later when I touched a flag - and all the colors went kookoo:

Speaking of Halloween, we held our annual pumpkin
carving competition over at Simon & Otto's house:

I think Dad paid off the judges, since somehow there was an "architecture" category:

For some unfathomable reason, I was taken to a jail-turned-miniature-golf-course:

I did my best to survive during my return visit to the hoosegow.
Every day, for example, I gathered my own water from a stream:

For fun, I would single-handedly halt the windmill:

Fortunately, I was able to escape by train:

Dad then caught me with my hand up the soda machine:

But then my grandmother, Maya, came to stay at our house,
so luckily I didn't have the time to get into any more mischief:

Colder weather has finally come to our area, thus the need to cover one's head:

Selecting a book for story time can be one of the hardest decisions:

On the actual day of Halloween we drove up the pike to the nearby countryside,
where we were able to pick out some pumpkins ...

... carve them into jack-o-lanterns later that day:

... and squeeze in a little trick or treating before bedtime:
